This is Us...In a Nutshell
We are a small church located on the corner of West Plum and South Church Streets in St. Paris, Ohio. We have a long legacy of reaching our community for the Gospel as we were founded in August of 1874. We gather each week on Sunday mornings to worship through prayer, songs, and the preaching of the Bible. We then go out throughout the week as individuals, families, and friends to love God by loving our neighbors.
We are a relaxed group of people who love to be around each other. We try to be warm and friendly yet not overbearing to all who come near us. Our gatherings are family and children friendly as we love the sound of little ones dancing during songs, babbling and talking during other times. These moments remind us we are a church who loves life.
We are not a perfect group of people. Instead we are broken individuals telling other broken people where to find hope and healing. We make mistakes but we know Christ will help us in our mistakes. We seek to extend, grace, mercy and forgiveness to others because we have been given grace, mercy and forgiveness.
We try to be people who not only attend church, but serve as the church in our community. Some of the ways we do this include: Federation of Churches food pantry, providing meals for the Caring Kitchen, supporting missionaries, giving back to our community when possible, and individually loving our neighbors in practical ways. For a complete list of ways we try to serve our community please contact us.
